Teresa Cain announced as a shortlisted candidate for Advocate of the Year in Women in IT Awards USA 2022

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., July 1, 2022 – TreviPay Director of Product Management & UX Design Teresa Cain has been announced as a shortlisted candidate for Advocate of the Year in the Women in IT Awards USA 2022 series. From 230 nominations across 21 categories, Cain joins a shortlist of ten candidates in the USA award edition.

The Women in IT Summit & Awards series, presented by DiversityQ in association with Information Age, supports the tech industry in its mission to move the dial on diversity and inclusion. The Advocate of the Year category represents individuals who are role models and have gone out of their way to support the cause of getting more women in IT with a proven track record in advancing career opportunities for women.

Cain continues to be an active member of TreviPay’s DE&I Committee. One of Cain’s notable achievements has included deepening TreviPay’s partnership with Central Exchange to provide all employees with the opportunity to be represented, seen, heard, and belong, as leaders in the business and community. From an IT perspective, her 15+ years of experience in building world class technology solutions are proven assets in supporting TreviPay as the global B2B payments and invoicing network, with a pioneering technology platform that helps businesses grow.

To encourage more women to pursue IT careers at TreviPay, Cain launched a Women in IT organization to connect women to learn from each other’s experiences and help them advance into leadership positions. She also pioneered a partnership with Central Exchange, an organization focused on providing opportunities for women in the community, and now sits on the Corporate Council Advisory board. She regularly speaks at Women in STEM conferences, develops training for career growth and mentors women newer in their careers.

Cain is also a lifetime learner and completed an Executive Education program focused on Product Strategy at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in 2021 and is currently finishing her Executive MBA at Rockhurst University and Masters of Integrated Innovation for Products and Services at Carnegie Mellon University. As a female leader in technology, these additional degrees, and her role as Director of Product Management and UX Design at TreviPay have given her the inspiration and confidence to promote and help other women looking to accelerate their careers in technology and leadership.
